THE ATLAS HYDRO SERIES
Vertical spindle Heavy-Duty Portal Milling Centers
The range of vertical milling centers designed for machining large components, equipped with hydrostatic guides, delivers superior performance and long-lasting durability, making them ideal for the most demanding industrial applications.
Key features of Atlas Hydro
Easily handles large and heavy parts with high chip removal rate
Delivers excellent accuracy in all the working area thanks to reduced vibrations
Offers multiple options with a wide range of standard and customized attachment heads
Allows two separate working areas with the Double Table configuration or FMS system
Modular configuration
Based on our Flexible Design Concept (FDC), the Atlas Hydro Gantry series offers modular configurations that adapt to various operational needs while maintaining the machine’s core components unchanged. The Atlas hydro can be designed according to different configurations:
The Variants of the Planomiller Version
Atlas Vision P (Planomiller) is a bridge type structure consisting of two fixed columns, anchored directly to the foundation with leveling and fastening jacks to ensure absolute stability. The columns are rigidly conneced by a robust crossrail. The moving table (X-axis) provides the longitudinal motion of the machine.Fixed Crossrail (P)
In the P configuration, the crossrail is fixed and is supported by linear guides for the transverse movement of the ram carriage.Working Crossrail (P-W)
In the P-W configuration, the crossbeam moves vertically along the columns through a preloaded hydrostatic system (W-axis).Atlas Hydro 2 - Atlas Hydro 3 - Atlas Hydro 4 | |
|---|---|
| Distance between columns | From mm 3000 up to 10000 mm |
| Table width | From 2000 up to 9000 mm |
| Table lenght | From 3000 mm up to 18000mm |
| Longitudinal X-axis travel | From 4500 mm up to 19500 mm |
| RAM vertical travel (Z-axis) | From 1500 up to 4000 mm |
| W-axis vertical travel (only for ATLAS HYDRO P-W working crossrail) | From mm 1500 up to 5000 |
| Spindle power | From 65 up to 100 kw |
| Torque | From 3500 Nm up to 9000 Nm |
| Spindle Speed | From 2500 rmp up to 4000 rpm |
| C Axis | Continuous positioning/working |
| X,Y and Z axes Feed | Up to 20000 mm/min |
| W axis Feed (if present) | Up to 30000 mm/min |
The variants of our Gantry
Atlas Hydro G (Gantry) is a moving portal that travels longitudinally on a series of beds (x axis), supported by preloaded hydroststic guideways. The beds are rigidly anchored to the foundations using leveling jacks and tie rods. The columns are firmly connected by a robust crossrail.Fixed Crossbeam (G)
In the G configuration, the crossrail is fixed and is supported by hydroststic guideways for the transverse movement of the ram carriage.Moving Crossbeam (G-W)
In the G-W configuration, the crossrail moves vertically along the columns through a preloaded hydrostatic guideways (W-axis).Atlas Hydro 2 - Atlas Hydro 3 - Atlas Hydro 4 | |
